In dotdigital, you can automate email delivery by navigating to "Automation" → "Programs" from the left-hand sidebar.
Expiration reminders
Please set up a program with the following conditions.
Enrollment Scheduling: daily at ~
Enrollment rule: Start ~ days before expiration
Enrollment limits : Re-enrol contacts on the program every day they meet the start criteria
With this setup, the program will automatically start every day at the designated time, targeting customers whose points are a set number of days away from expiration.
As the action, select "Email campaign" and create your desired email content.
Within the email, you can directly display information such as point balance and expiration using customer data fields.
Point Balance Notifications
You can also automate regular notifications about point balances.
Configure the program with the following conditions.
Enrollment Scheduling: set a desired frequency
Enrollment rule: Segment based on point balance rules
Enrollment limits : Re-enrol contacts on the program every day they meet the start criteria
With this configuration, you can automatically notify customers about their point balance at any chosen interval — for example, monthly or semi-annually.
By adjusting the segment conditions, you can adjust who to target based on their point status.
Tier-Based Campaigns
Currently, automated campaigns triggered by changes in tier are not supported.
If you wish to send communications related to tier updates, we recommend manually executing a campaign targeting the relevant segment when tier updates occur.
