Klaviyo’s default date display can be jarring when displayed within an email.
{{ person|lookup:"$easypoints_points_expiration"|default:"" }}
Default display: 2024-04-01T00:00:00+09:00
However, it is possible to modify how dates are displayed within emails.
To change the date to look like the following:
January 1, 2024
1. First, insert your date property in your email body.
2. Next, highlight the default:'' in the property, making sure to leave the space before the two end braces.
3. Then, paste format_date_string|date:'F d, o' to replace the default as highlighted in step 2.
4. Now, save the content and preview to confirm the display is functioning as expected.
You can also change the date in other formats — for example, for a Japanese-style date format of 2024年1月11日, you can simply paste date:'Y年m月d日 instead during step 3.
