Tier Feature System Settings:
Our tier feature offers flexible settings to best match a tier system for your store.
Rank Up Period: how often do you want EasyPoints to update customers' tier ranks? For example, if you set this setting to '1 month,' EasyPoints will re-assess your customers tier ranks every month, meaning your customers' ranks can change every month.
Activity Window: how long do you want to count your customers' purchases towards their next rank status? This setting will define the interval during which total expenditure is calculated. For example, if you set this setting to '6 months,' all of a customer's purchases within the 6-month time period will count towards their next tier ranking.
Start Date: when do you want to launch your tier program? Please note that the month is written in numbers (so January is 1, February is 2, and so on). Your tier system will then launch of the 1st day of the scheduled month.
Examples
Example 1:
Rank Up Period : 1 months
Activity Window: 1 months
Start Date: August (8)
With this set-up, the tier system will start on August 1st. Customers will rank up if their total expenditure during July (the preceding month) meets the rank up requirement(s). In September (the next month), customers will be eligible to rank up, depending on whether their total expenditure in August (the preceding month) meets the rank up requirement(s).
Example 2:
Rank Up Period : 3 months
Activity Window: 1 months
Start Date: January (1)
With this set-up, the tier system will start on January 1st. Customers will rank up if their total expenditure during the previous 1 month meets the rank up requirement(s). April (3 months later) will be the next period when customers will be able to rank up, depending on whether their total expenditure in March meets the rank up requirement(s).
Example 3:
Rank Up Period : 1 months
Activity Window: 6 months
Start Date: April (4)
With this set-up, the tier system will launch on April 1st. Customers will rank up if their total expenditure during the previous October-March (past 6 months) meets the rank up requirement(s). At the beginning of the next month, customers will be able to rank up, depending on whether their total expenditure between November-April meets the rank up requirement(s). This cycle will continue at the beginning of each month.
