This article is about the conditions and limitations about the review rewards. To look in to other information about how to connect or what review rewards is, click the links below.
Judge.me has a number of settings which are important to know, as they can affect how certain reward configurations behave. We’ve put together some basic information about some of these settings, as well as possible limitations that could result in rewards not functioning as expected.
Judge.me glossary:
Review request/requested review:
Reviews prompted by a post-purchase review request email.
Web review:
Reviews posted by web visitors visiting a product page.
Imported review:
Reviews imported from other apps or platforms into Judge.me.
Auto-publish:
Automatically publish all reviews received so that once a customer has submitted a review, it will go live on your shop.
Published:
Reviews are considered published once they are displayed on your shop.
Curated:
Reviews must be manually approved/published before being shown on your shop.
Verified:
This means the writer of the review is a verified buyer of the store. It does not verify any specific items ordered, however. To qualify for the verification badge, the reviewer must meet at least one of the following:
- Was directed to write the review via a Judge.me review request email.
- Has orders (in any shop registered with Judge.me).
- Has logged in to the user profile.
- Has buyer-verified reviews (in any shop).
Judge.me settings limitations
Curated + auto-publish
Curation and auto-publish are not the same! Rather, curation requires review approval to be published whereas auto-publish removes this requirement. As such, please be aware of possible combination errors:
Auto-publish ON +
Curated ON
NO reviews will receive points. Since auto-publishing removes the requirement for approval to be published, this condition will make it impossible for any review to receive point rewards.
Auto-Publish ON +
Curated OFF
ALL reviews will receive points.
Auto-Publish OFF +
Curated On
ONLY published reviews will receive points. If a review has not been curated after 30 days, it will no longer be eligible for a reward.
Auto-Publish OFF +
Curated OFF
ALL reviews will receive points.
Curated + verified
Verification can mean two things. Depending on your easyPoints configuration, not all verified reviews might receive points!
Curated OFF +
Verified ON
ONLY requested reviews (email-prompted reviews) will receive points. All other reviews will be ineligible for rewards.
Curated ON +
Verified ON
BOTH requested and web reviews will receive points IF:
- The review is published via curation
- [Web review only] Account verification has been completed prior to curation
IMPORTANT: Imported reviews must be manually verified by Judge.me — this means imported reviews will not be eligible for rewards when verification is required. The only exception would be if the manual verification has been completed prior to curation.
Minimum rating
While there are no impacts to this setting through easyPoints, it’s important to note that Judge.me’s auto-publish ratings are not the same as the easyPoints minimum rating setting.
